I have just recently become a "Bee." Any brides or event planners need to become a member of "the hive." It's this exxxxxtraordinary website that has classifieds, vendor reviews, a blog, DIY ideas, and a board.
I have spent two days on it looking through the classifieds and it's a great way for brides to sell things from weddings that have passed, pre-sales before their wedding, or things they bought for a wedding that unfortunately didn't happen...
There are so many links to vendors, sponsors, and shops that specialize in wedding products and ideas. I highly recommend this site seeing as how there are so many opportunities to find some random things you didn't know you were looking for.
I can't stop raving about this and I told everyone at work today about it. I even got one of my co-workers to sign up to become a fellow bee. Spread the word, or should I say spread the buzz?

People Are Finding Me
I am not sure how people are finding me, but I love it! I can't believe the power of the internet. It has blown me away in the past few months!
I have been updating the sites that are top of google and making sure they are clean and pristine. All I can say is I'm hopeful for this year and I hope that it's going to be as good as I think it is going to be.
I had someone email me today that was promoting her new up and coming designs that she apparently has had amazing feedback on. She prints pictures onto slate, ceramic tiles, metal and hardwood. I am hopefully going to be meeting with her shortly to see her work and I'll make yet another network. I am stoked people are reaching out to me to promote their business. I have the volume of clicks on the web that I am looking for and I am being asked for advice every other day it seems.
I just recently had someone email me asking for a job and to assist my wedding planners. I got a bubbly feeling in my stomach when I apprently looked like a "not so new business" that was well established and had assistants. I do everything by myself but my work showcased on my websites I have all over must make it appear like I have assistants. I love that! I know I have a talent to make a wedding more than a wedding with my attention to detail and I love using it. So pass on my business and I'll pass on yours!

My First Quinceanera!
I am so excited to say that my catering partner, Monnie, Owner of Viva Los Tacos, and I are planning a quinceanera! I have never done one before, but my research I've done has been very fascinating! The traditions are endless, the amount of time and preparation that goes into it is equivalent to a wedding and the fun they are going to have is unimaginable.
I am planning this event from the ground up and budgeting its traditions and entertainment is very fun! I get to meet with the family this Thursday to discuss the financials and I'll keep you posted on the updates. I cannot wait until next year in September to see the end result!

What Do I Get My Bridesmaids?
I just stumbled upon Birchbox. It's a monthly subscription that delivers samples to you and your bridesmaid's doors. If you come across something that strikes you as a "must have," you can buy the full size! It's $10 a month and you can choose the subscription length.
What an idea?! I love it! It takes away the stress of buying the perfect gift for each bridesmaid or buying matching jewelry everyone will like and be able to wear again.
Once you become a member, you have access to their site which houses a bunch of tips and tricks to make you and your bridesmaids look fabulous and make them feel great on the big day! There is a monthly membership option or a whole year for $110. The samples come packaged in a cute pink box and wrapped very eloquently. Check it out at http://www.birchbox.com/

Uneven Bridal Party
To all of you brides out there that are worried about having an uneven bridal party... you need not worry. It turns out it's more common than you think!
I just attended the Grant Humphrey's Mansion Bridal Expo on January 31st and I attended a wedding planning course. During that course, 3 brides spoke up about what they were going through with their wedding party being uneven-whether it was they didn't want a wedding party for the bridal side, but the groom wanted his friends or he didn't have as many friends as she did. The wedding planner's suggestion? Roll with it! "It happens more than you think." she said. Her suggestion on how to arrange them on the day of the wedding was to spread them out in a circular shape around the backside of you like they were in a theatre watching you but from the other side, so they were facing the people who were sitting in the pews.
I loved that idea! That way, it wasn't a focal point in the photos when you and your groom were exchanging vows. They appeared as a background who had a V.I.P view!
I thought of a lot of bride's who had that problem and they had to have people they wouldn't have normally chosen to stand up in their wedding party just to make it even with groom or bride's side. This doesn't have to happen anymore! Choose the people you want and talk to your wedding coordinator about the best way to arrange the party on the day of your wedding to make sure the uneven bridal party isn't the main focal point in the photos. Try staggering them too: Girl, girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, girl in a U-Shape behind you on the altar. Good luck!
