I have shared these links on my group page on Facebook as well. I am all about spreading the word so brides can go to as many expos as possible before choosing their vendors. I am a huge fan of mountain weddings and quaint little spots that are hidden for ceremonies. Here are some links I have found and enjoyed looking at.

This one has big and little mountain sites to either get married or hold a reception.
Heart of the Rockies Bridal Expo-March 13 in Salida
http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.heartoftherockiesbridal.com%2F&h=4dd87
This link is a bridal show that is in Salida, CO on March 13th. It's free to brides and its vendors are only allowed to be in Chaffee County. So if you want to know the exact vendors who are available in this county that is home of 14,000 ft. mountains, they'll be there.
Grant-Humphrey Mansion Bridal Expo-January 30 in Denver
http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.qualityhillbridalshow.com%2F&h=4dd87
I'm going to this one! I can't wait! It's free for brides and it's at a beautiful mansion! What more could a bride want?!
http://www.bridalfestivals.com/
This site has a list of expos in the Colorado areas all the time. I follow this one and usually end up at the Denver Metro ones. It's a great show. Highly recommended.

I am looking into being a vendor at this show. It's April 17th and April 21st 11am-4pm at the Colorado Convention Center. The website is well organized and it looks very exciting. Tickets are $7 but there is also a coupon on the website that you can get to discount that price.
ISES Wedding Expo-Jan 21st in Denver
http://colorado.perfectweddingguide.com/events/bridal-shows/9424/
This one is on 17th St. in Denver 5pm-8pm. I would totally be going if in fact I wasn't flying out to Vegas that day. It's $10 at the door and the first 50 people to register get entered to win som amazing prizes! This site also gives you more info on a few more bridal shows in the Boulder area and through April 17th. This is an awesome site that give you many options. ISES is an amazing society called Internation Special Events Society. Anything they do is phenomenal! Out of all of the wedding expos on this site, I'd want to go to the ISES one.
Hope this helps! I want to make sure every bride knows what I know. Cheers!

2011 Wedding Trends
With my recent research, I've made up a list of trends for 2011.
-Bright colors for bridesmaid dresses or navy and yellow, red, nude or burnt red. Gray is the new alternative to brown this year too.
-Tea length wedding dresses and dresses with pockets on them.
-Varied table sizes. Not just round tables, but mix it up a little. Add some character to the room.
-Country flowers, recycled products, and a rustic feel.
-Long tables to bring a vintage feel to the room.
-The DIY concept (Do It Yourself) Your own personal touches make the decorations more personable.
-Textured fabrics for linens or for the altar.
-Creative wedding cake toppers.
-Not so traditional centerpieces, i.e. floating candles, vases with fish in them , more vintage themed and not just your bouquet of flowers.
I hope these help! I am personally really excited about the navy and yellow colors being popular together. I can also see navy and burnt red creating a smashing look as well!

An All White Wedding?
There is a new hype-all of the bridesmaids along with the bride, sporting white dresses.
There are two sides to this, as every fashion statement has...
1.) White is for the bride, it's the traditional way and everyone else should wear something other than white so that the bride's thunder isn't stolen.
2.) When all of the bridesmaids are in white dresses, it shows the bride is secure enough to know that this is her day, she's with the people that care, and that is all that matters.
I like both statements. I have seen many different colors at weddings but never bridesmaids wearing white dresses too! I am open to new ideas and open to the bride showing her family this day is special and she doesn't need all the attention, but I think all white dresses are too extreme. I think alternating every other bridesmaid dress with white would be an interesting twist and a nice accent touch to the altar, but it wouldn't be my first choice. When I think about altars during weddings, I think about colors and smiles from your closest friends accenting the two main people, whom we all came to see becoming man and wife.
I am all about great photos for a great day and I think that too much white washes out the photos. Colors make the picture come to life. It makes it look more elegant and they pop out at you so much more than if you were to have ALL white. What do you think?

First Post Ever
I have been told by many people I need to start a blog. I figured I'd follow their advice and see what this thing can do for me.
I am starting my 2nd year with my event coordinating business and I'm watching it grow right in front of my eyes. I am going to a huge bridal show at a mansion in Golden on Jan. 30th and hope to get a few clients there. I found out the hard way that if I would have paid for a booth at the last expo I went to, I'd have been the only event coordinator there. I found out about this expo on the 30th from Facebook and I hope it'll be worth it.
I am going to be attending this event with a couple of my independent business owners as well. One has her own catering company and she makes authentic Mexican food. Her business is called "Viva Los Tacos." She works with me and has been helping me figure out ways to market my business. We might even create a package together! Who doesn't want authentic Mexican food?! The other independent business owner is a friend of mine, as well, who sells jewelry. She has been looking for ways to expand her clientel as well. I guess my catering friend and I aren't enough to support her, just kidding. We are addicted to jewelry and we're always bringing our jewlery we get at great deals to work and sharing our deal spots!
I have created a new website and I hope now that it's not a flash based website, google spiders will pick it up and hopefully have me on the first page of google soon. We can only hope right? Check it out at www.wix.com/jolle1cl/denverweddings
Well, I am interested to see how many followers I get on this blog and hope this helps my business grow a little each blog post. I'm off to walk my dog. Have a great night everyone and I'll try and keep up on this blog weekly with my business updates. Thanks for reading!
